The maker movement is quickly growing in the United States. Independent makers are producing goods in small batches. This allows for creating with intention and sustainability practices such a reducing the risk of waste.
Staying small and sustainable doesn't mean these makers won't make a big impact. In fact, it's just the opposite. They have more flexibility to create and produce pieces that become limited editions and they are designing with a focused heart and soul.
They know who is making their goods, where the materials come from, and how each piece is being made. Plus, being sustainable is a win-win for them, us, and Mother Earth.
